In India, the OnePlus 9R will receive an OxygenOS 11.2.3.3 hotfix update with a battery drain fix.

The OnePlus 9R is getting an OxygenOS update that includes a patch for the previous release's battery drain issue. The most recent OxygenOS upgrade for the OnePlus 9 series' lowest smartphone resulted in anomalous battery depletion. The May 2021 Android security patch, as well as camera, gallery, and system upgrades, were included in the OnePlus 9R OxygenOS 11.2.1.2 upgrade, which was released in India last month. OnePlus also just released OxygenOS 11.2.6.6, which included the May 2021 security patch for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

OnePlus announced the patch in a post on its Community site, claiming that it has resolved the unexpected battery depletion issue introduced by the previous update to the OnePlus 9R. In particular conditions, the new OxygenOS 11.2.3.3 update specifies that the smartphone would now consume less power. Fixes for 'known issues for a better experience' are also included in the changelog.
