The iPhone 13 Series is expected to include an Always-On Display similar to the Apple Watch.

The iPhone 13 debut is still more than a month away, but leaks have been plentiful. The lineup is likely to include four models: the iPhone 13 small, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. According to a recent rumor, the iPhone 13 series may include a 120Hz refresh rate and an always-on display option akin to the Apple Watch. The Always-On Display feature is expected to consume more battery life, although the display is supposed to be less power-consuming than the one on the iPhone 12 series.

In the weekly Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman writes that the next-generation iPhones will have a smaller notch and a speedier A15 processor. The display is expected to be more battery-friendly, which means Apple will have more opportunity to incorporate features like the Always-On display mode found on the Apple Watch. The display may also have a 120Hz refresh rate and is said to improve video recording.

According to Gurman, Apple has entrusted suppliers with producing up to 90 million new iPhones this autumn. This is a 20% increase above the 75 million units Apple had anticipated for the iPhone 12 series in 2020. While 120Hz refresh rate support has been announced, it is expected to be flexible in nature, with the transition dependent on the tasks you do on your phone. The iPhone 13 series is also expected to have power-efficient LTPO screens, allowing Apple to incorporate new features such as the rumoured Always-On display.

Aside from display improvements, the iPhone 13 may be available in two new colour options: Pearl and Sunset Gold. The whole lineup is expected to feature Wi-Fi 6E, and the camera module on Pro versions is said to be much bigger than its predecessor. Furthermore, the iPhone 13 series is said to include quicker wireless charging and a wider-angle lens than the previous generation of iPhones.
